Horses Available

At Les Ross Racing we are always looking to involve people in the excitement of owning a racehorse.  We have a number of shares available in quality horses both unraced and with racing experience.  So whether you are looking to get in to the game or have experienced the fun before we will be able to accommodate you.

With the horses listed below,  the shares being offered for sale are those that are currently owned by Les. As you would be aware Les is constantly buying horses and to allow him to continue this, he needs to also sell some of his interests. In most cases Les is staying in the horses, just reducing his shareholding %. The horses are always sound and they are the types we are keen to keep in our stable.

 Half Moon Bay, a 6yo Mare who has had 4 wins from 31 starts is available for sale at just $3,000. She raced on Sunday at Caloundra, finishing just 2.8 lengths from the winner in a C4 over 1800m. The owners want to concentrate there efforts on their other horses and breeding interests. She is sound and this campaign has raced very well and in the right company has the ability to win again. 16th July 2007 :

   The owner of the well performed mare Eurabbi Miss have decided to let somebody else have the opportunity to breed with her and produce another top quality foal. She has had 8 foals, 3 of the winners being Berny To, Bob The Bagman and Half Moon Bay. She is rising 20, and Rod and Sharon would love to see her produce another winner but unfortunatley it doesn't suit them at the moment to proceed due to there other racing and breeding interests.

 If you are genuine and want to get into the breeding game this is a great opportunity. Rod will assist you with Stallion options and all other details and is just asking that the right thing be done by the horse and hopefully she can produce another quality foal.

08th June 2007 :  The owners of Sister Catherine, a rising 7yo mare by Lion Hunter who has been retired from racing due to a tendon injury, are offering her up for sale. She has won nearly $80,000 from 35 starts with 4 wins and 27 times in the first 5. 16th May 2007 - A half-brother to the well performed My Son Day has a 20% share availabe. He is an un-raced 2yo that is having his first trial this Tuesday. His name is Beau Dazzler and he has been in our stable for the last 6 months having a very steady preperation. All signs are good, he is very sound and the trial on Tuesday will give us a bit of a guide to his progress.

3rd April 2007 - Fanlite is based at our Pakenham Stable and has had 10 starts and is still a Maiden. This 3yo gelding by Fantastic Light was purchased for $64,000 and to date has finished 3rd three times. His most recent start was Sunday 1/4/07 over 1700m at Sale in Victoria where he led from a wide gate and was only run down in the last 200m, finishing 5th. He is race fit and ready to come back to our Qld stables as he has not performed up to the owners expectations. For something different we are going to hold a mini-auction for this horse with bids to start at $5,000.

2nd April 2007 - One of our owners has purchased a yearling by Dodge and is selling shares of 10% at $2,000 each. This 3/4 brother to Group 3 Winner Hard To Catch who has won over $500k, is also closely related to the talented mare Camino Rose who was a Group 1 winner and earned over $1m. The horse is being broken-in now and should be ready for his first visit to the stables shortly after that. The price includes breaking fees and there are only 4 shares left. 5th March 2007 -  CODIFY, the owner of Donbodine has just purchased this 5yo Mare and is offering one 20% share at $4,500. This figure includes all costs in getting the horse to our Stable, and the first months training fees. The horse is race ready and as you can see by the attached form she has been competive in Mellbourne, winning a race at Moonee Valley just a few months ago. 22nd Feb 2007 -   Canyouhearthebell, last start winner. The owners (Shane Lister & Les) are offering  50% of him for sale in 4 shares of 12.5%. This 3yo son of Clang is QTIS registered and has had just 2 starts in this his second campaign. He looks to have an exciting future as he is still growing and learning. 28th January 2007 - Yearling  by King Of Danes purchased at the Magic Millions a few weeks ago. The horse is being broken in right now and we have 10% shares available at just $2000 each. 26th Novemember 2006 : The owners of Smart Opinion, winner of 2 of his last 3 starts, have available his full brother. By Legal Opinion (Danehill) out of a mare Positio. They have this yearling entered in the Magic Million March Sales, but would be happy to discuss sale prior to this, and may also be interested in keeping a share.
