Smart Opinion stormed home from the tail of the field to win the 1000m 3yo Maiden at Caloundra today. It was a very impressive performance by the horse, and jockey Danny Peisley showed plenty of patience early letting him balance up and find his feet. Coming into the straight Smart Opinion was pulled to the outside and made a huge run from last to first under some very hard and aggressive riding.
The connections who had bred the horse themselves were estacic with the run, and the cheering started at the home turn and was still going late into last night. Congratulations "Jerry's" family and all the faith they have shown in him!
Smart Opinion's win completed a very rewarding week for Les Ross Racing, with 5 winners in 8 days!
