Emgee Rex, his owners purchased the mare Cruising Eyes in foal to Kala Dancer for a mere $1200. Emgee was raised and originally trained in Sydney by the owners and he was named after one of the owner’s cars, which was an M.G, and another of the owners who had a WRX.
He has been a very consistent horse. Basically he rarely runs a bad race and his wins have been over 1600m, 2200m(2) and 2800m. The day he won at Canterbury over 2800m the owners had a real day out, as he started at 100-1, and they all had a little bit on him!
Emgee will be aiming for a crack at the Qld Cup over 3200m in November. The owners love him, have scrapbooks full of photos and regularly fly up from Sydney to watch him run. Next time you see Rex at the track or the stables, say hi for them. Emgee Rex's Form
