Prend Form

Prend is a 2002 mare by Honour and Glory out of an Arch Sculptor mare named Talent Plus. She was purchased at the June MM sales as a yearling and after a first preparation with another trainer, came over to our stables as a late 2yo.
Prend performed well in good company as a 2yo, running 2nd to Emit Time and Cool Scene. She won her first race, a 3yo Maiden, at Doomben on Melbourne Cup Day last year. The name Prend came from the owners 3yo son who had a bit of trouble pronouncing friend. When this new horse came into the family the young bloke welcomed his new “prend” and made comment how he would be a good “prend” to their other horses! Prend is a lovely horse around the stable and there is plenty more races for her to win in the future. We tried her over the longer journeys during the carnival and she was just not quite up to it. She was in the company of the best fillies in the country and maybe as a 4yo mare she might find that little bit extra to make it in the big time.
